About
Partnering with farm owners to build profitable, well-managed farm businesses.
Founded in 2016
Our History
BWB Management was founded by Andrew Beattie, John Wilson and Rob Bradley, who formed a syndicate of families to purchase a dairy farm. What began as a single venture quickly evolved into a business as others approached them to replicate their successful model. Since its establishment, BWB Management has worked with a new syndicate group each year, purchasing, developing and managing a new farm on their behalf.
Typical Owners
The syndicates are comprised of a diverse range of people who share a passion for agriculture and a commitment to long-term value. Typical owners include:
Mixed farmers looking to diversify into dairy without taking on operational responsibilities themselves
Retired farmers who wish to keep their capital invested in farming
Families and individuals seeking exposure to agriculture without direct involvement in day-to-day operation
Our Services
What we do
At BWB, we provide end-to-end expertise in farm ownership, development and management. Our services include:
We conduct comprehensive due diligence for syndicates seeking to acquire farming properties - assessing land, infrastructure, herd potential, and expected financial performance.
✓ Due Diligence for Syndicates
We manage the planning and execution of dairy conversions, upgrades and farm development projects, including infrastructure upgrades, irrigation installation, and pasture improvement to make the operation efficient and profitable.
✓ Development Oversight
BWB co-invests with the syndicate to have an ownership stake in all the farms we manage. This alignment ensures that our interests are directly tied to the long-term success of each farm and its owners.
✓ Aligned Ownership
We provide professional oversight of farm operations on behalf of owners, ensuring high performance through regular physical and financial reporting, data-driven decision-making, and proactive support to the on-farm manager.
✓ Ongoing Management and Reporting
Our Values
The pillars of how we operate
At BWB operations are grounded in three core pillars that guide every decision we make - from the paddock to the boardroom.
We believe in working together - with our owners, managers, staff, and local communities - to achieve shared success. Alignment of interests and values from farm owners right through to BWB and farm managers is central to how we operate.
Collaboration
We uphold the highest standards of transparency, ethics, and accountability in every aspect of our business. Trust is built through consistent, honest, and responsible action.
Integrity
We are committed to farming responsibly protecting the environment, supporting animal welfare, and ensuring the long-term viability of our farms and the broader dairy industry.
Sustainability
BWB Management Philosophy
At BWB, our management philosophy is built on simplicity, measurement, and grass-based efficiency. Our approach is shaped by the following core principles:
The Manager Manages
Each farm manager is empowered to lead day-to-day operations, working to an agreed budget and set of guiding principles. The managers are supported, not directed, by BWB.
Grass Based Production
We operate predominantly pasture-based systems, aiming for 1 kilogram of milk solids per kilogram of liveweight gain, driven primarily by grass, and strategically supplemented with grain and silage.
Robust, Fertile Cows
Our focus is on maintaining healthy, high-performing cows that thrive in pasture-based environments.
Measure to Manage
We believe: “You can’t manage what you don’t measure.”We maintain a strong focus on measurement to drive improvement, including:
Weekly pasture walks
Monthly physical and financial reporting
Regular data collection and performance tracking
KISS – Keep It Simple, Stupid
We value practical, straightforward systems that reduce complexity and enhance on-farm efficiency.
Our Founders
All three founders bring a wealth of experience from owning and managing significant businesses both within and outside the agricultural sector. Their complementary strengths, networks, and expertise form the foundation of BWB Management’s success.
