Juniper Lea

Juniper Lea, a 565-hectare former piggery, cropping and forestry property, was acquired in 2020 as a dryland runoff block to support neighbouring Dalmore. A full dairy conversion commenced in 2021, including the construction of a 60-bale rotary dairy, installation of centre pivot irrigation, pasture improvements, and upgrades to laneways, drainage, and stock water systems.

The farm now features a 300-hectare milking platform, with 270 hectares under centre pivot and solid-set irrigation.

Juniper Lea milked 780 cows in its first year and has since grown to a herd of 1,100 cows. Development is ongoing, with the most recent irrigation upgrades completed in 2025. Juniper Lea was awarded Tasmanian Dairy Business of the Year in 2025, after being named runner-up in 2024.
