Blumont
Blumont was established in 2019 through the acquisition an existing dairy where only half the property was being milked off. With the original dairy nearing the end of its operational life, the purchase was approached as a full conversion project. A new 60-bale rotary dairy was constructed in a central location, accompanied by extensive irrigation development and pasture improvement.
Blumont features a milking platform of up to 430 hectares, comprising 160 hectares under centre pivot, hard hose, solid set, and lateral irrigation, and 270 hectares of dryland pasture.
Operations began in 2019 with 550 cows and expanded to 900 by 2025. As part of strategic planning in 2026, cow numbers were intentionally reduced to 850 head, and area available for young stock increased, to align with long-term productivity and sustainability goals.
